A non-profit that serves seniors in the Point Arena area has fallen victim to catalytic converter thieves. Coastal Seniors provides programs to older adults and those with disabilities in the Mendonoma area. The three buses that transport clients to and from medical appointments and errands had their converters stolen earlier this month. The cost of replacing them is around $18,000. All services that use those vehicles have had to be canceled due to the theft. Donations to help repair those vehicles can be made at coastalseniors.org or by contacting the program.
