A Ukiah man led CHP officers on a chase after fleeing a traffic stop in the area of Talmage Road and Babcock Lane in Ukiah. A Toyota Corolla failed to stop and almost hit another vehicle as it rolled through a stop sign. During the stop, officers saw that one of the two male occupants in the car had a firearm in his pocket. The driver then fled, leading officers on a chase with speeds of upward of 100 mph. CHP did a pit maneuver to stop the vehicle. The driver was identified as Daniel Holmes Jr., 31 and was arrested for possession of a firearm among other charges.. The passenger was released after cooperating with officers.
