The Guenoc Valley Development project has hit another roadblock. An appellate court has ordered a new environmental study on the luxury resort and residential community. Wednesday, the court ordered a new EIR because the previous report Lake County did not disclose projected wildfire ignition risks. The decision is the first time a state appeals court has set aside an EIR because the risk of wildfire wasn’t considered.
