Containment on Glenwood Fire Grows, Sheriffs Declares Local Emergency

Containment on the Glenhaven Fire, which started on Friday morning in the area of Highway 20 and Glenhaven Drive near Clearlake Oaks continues to grow. CalFire reports the blaze was at 417 acres as of Sunday night and was 43% contained. Sheriff Rob Howe declared a local emergency in response on Friday. Temporary evacuation points have been set up at the Lucerne Alpine Sr. Center and the former Pearce Field Airport in Clearlake. An evacuation shelter is open at Twin Pine Casino in Middletown.
