Mendocino County may soon experience its first “cannabis cafe”, thanks to a bill recently signed into law by Governor Newsom. AB 1775 will allow licensed cannabis retailers to sell non-cannabis food and non-alcoholic drinks to customers inside their shops. The bill could help Mendocino County’s cannabis retailers by allowing them to transition their storefronts into Amsterdam-style “cannabis cafes.” The Madrones in Philo is hoping to be the first to provide that experience.
