A Willits man on probation was arrested on possession of stolen checks totaling over $250,000 this past Saturday. Deputies on foot patrol recognized Andrew Riffle, contacted him, and searched him per the terms of his probation. He was found to be in possession of the checks and mail belonging to a business in Fort Bragg. Riffle was arrested on charges of felony possession of stolen property, mail theft, and violation of probation. He’s being held without bail in the Mendocino County Jail.
