After a number of relocations, the Ukiah based non-profit United Disaster Relief of Northern California has finally found a home. Since 2017, the UDRNC has provided disaster relief and worked tirelessly to support victims in the area. After losing their space on Airport Park Boulevard, the group launched the Building Hope Campaign, to raise $100K to secure a permanent location in Ukiah. Between fund-raising and grant writing, UDRNC has been able to purchase a former Coca Cola bottling plant on Babcock Lane in Ukiah and in the final phase of fundraising to help renovate the building. An anonymous donor will match $100K by the end of the year. You can donate at givebutter.com. Volunteers are also needed for a workday being held tomorrow from 10 am to 12n.
