The Mendocino CalFire Unit has announced that it will be conducting an educational burn in the Jackson Demonstration State Forest starting Monday and will continue for roughly 3 to 4 weeks whenever favorable weather conditions exist. Smoke and aircraft may be present in the area during the burn. Approximately 280 acres of timber understory will be burnt during the project.
