The Mendocino Railway and its parent company, Sierra Northern Railway have filed suit against the city of Fort Braggs for allegedly allowing toxins in stormwater runoff from the city to contaminate the railway’s property. An environmental report provided in the suit says that dioxins and furans have been found in tests. The first hearing on the suit is scheduled for November 5th. The City of Fort Bragg is also engaged in legal action against the railways that is ongoing.
