Evacuation notices were sent Tuesday afternoon in the Ukiah area after a fire started near Masonite Road Wildfire, N. State Street, and Orr Springs Road. Fire was moving southbound on both sides of the 101 and in the center divide. North State Street was closed shortly before 5 pm. By 5:10, the 101 was closed down entirely from the Lake Mendocino Drive Undercrossing to the North State Street Undercrossing. Leave Now evacuation orders were given for an area around the 1800 block of N. State Street around 5:23. By 5:57 the evacuation order was downgraded as crews worked the blaze.
