Quake Felt in Bakersfield Triggers Early Warning System

A 5.3 magnitude earthquake was recorded in Bakersfield on Tuesday night around 9.  The quake sent shockwaves across Southern California.  The quake triggered a warning about 10 seconds before the quake.  The warning is one of the first to be triggered by the states early warning system, according to Caltech’s Seismology lab.  The National Weather Service reports that no tsunamis were expected in Bakersfield.
