Old Infrastructure to Blame for Water Main Break in Ukiah

City crews in Ukiah worked overnight Tuesday on a water main break at Waugh and Cooper Lanes. Water service was off for almost 12 hours in the area, bringing service back online around 7 am Wednesday. The repair took longer than expected due to a high-pressure gas line close to the broken main, which meant PG&E had to respond, and crews waited over two hours before they could get to work on the break. Old infrastructure is thought to be to blame for the break.
