A new prescribed burn association has formed in Round Valley. PublicRadioKZYX reports the goal of the new association is to help landowners and everyone in the valley at large prepare for fire season, and safely conduct prescribed burns, which can help build fire resiliency in the area. A grant through the county funded by CalFire will allow the Mendocino Fire Safe Council to direct what Round Valley needs regarding fire awareness and education.
