A Lake County Code Enforcement officer has been arrested and charged with felony charges of extortion, soliciting/accepting a bribe and grand theft, and misdemeanor possession of marijuana for sale. Antonio Chavez Anguiano, 36 was arrested midweek at his home where deputies found approximately $19,000 in cash and 35 pounds of processed marijuana. He’s being held at the Lake County Jail, and is scheduled to appear in court for arraignment sometime today, Friday. Community Development Director Mireya Turner said her department was aware of Anguiano’s activities and contacted the Sheriff’s office, which conducted an urgent and thorough investigation.
