DA David Eyester Calls for Victim Impact Statements in Hopkins Fire Arsonist’s Sentencing

The man responsible for setting the Hopkins Fire in 2021 has been found guilty of arson.  In California, he is eligible to be sentenced to prison for up to 21 years.  DA David Eyester has posted on his social media a call to action for the fire victims, to submit victim impact statements to be entered into the record at sentencing on September 16th. Statements must be sent to the District Attorney’s Ukiah Victims/Witness advocates office by September 2nd.  The sentencing will also be available to be viewed on Zoom.  Information is available at mendocinocounty.gov.
