The crash of a speeding vehicle on Bottle Rock Road in an unincorporated area of Lake County claimed the life of an adult male on Wednesday. Preliminary investigation shows the driver of a Toyota Scion lost control of the vehicle, ran off the road, down an embankment, rolled, and struck a tree. The driver was thrown from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. Identification of the driver is pending notification of next of kin. The driver was not wearing his seat belt. Drugs or alcohol are not thought to be a factor in the crash.
