Lake County’s unemployment rate improved considerably in May. The latest jobs report from the California Employment Development Department showed Lake County’s unemployment rate at 4.9% in May, compared to 6% in April and 6.7% in March. The rate also improved from May last year, when the rate was 5.2%. Mendocino County also experienced improvement, with unemployment at 4.1 % in May, which is down from April, but still a bit up from this time last year.
