At last report, a fire in the hills northwest of Lakeport, dubbed the Scotts Fire had grown to about 50 acres, burning at a slow rate of speed moving toward Blue Lakes, along State Route 20. MendoFever reports five air tankers, three helicopters, and 20 engines have joined the firefighting effort. By afternoon crews were making good progress. One firefighter was reported to have breathing difficulties and EMS was dispatched.
