The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat watch for Lake County through this evening. It will be dangerously hot and windy with temperatures from 95 to 103 degrees possible, especially in the eastern part of the county. There’s also a beach hazards statement in effect today for sneaker waves near the water in Mendocino County.
