Construction on the new Lakeport Courthouse is slated to begin soon Working drawings for the building have been completed, and court officials say construction should start this summer once environmental studies have been approved. The courthouse has been an ongoing project since 2010 when the site was purchased. The new building will include 45,300 square feet of space, with four courtrooms, a jury assembly room, self-help center, attorney/client meeting rooms, and on-site parking with solar generation.
