One of the accomplices in a botched robbery and attempted murder in Leggett once played for the New York Giants and the San Francisco 49ers. MendoFever reports Gregory Mark Cox has a long history of criminal behavior after his NFL career ended. Last Friday, Cox and Amanda Chapman had intended to rob a homeowner when Chapman shot the man in the hand. Both were arrested in Willits the next morning. Cox was booked on felony conspiracy and felony attempted murder. He was released on bond on Tuesday.
