Almost $46 million has been awarded to Mendocino County for various road projects in the latest round of transportation funding from the state. In Lake County, a safety project intended to reduce crashes on Highway 28 near Middletown has been awarded $3 million. The money for the Lake County project will go toward widening the roadway, installing medians and culvert upgrades, and the installation of a radar feedback sign on Highway 29 from north of Butts Canyon Road to south of Grange Road near Middletown.
