Lake County will receive more than $16 million from the USDA Forest Service’s Community Wildfire Defense Grants and Wood Innovations Program. The Forest Service announced last week that several projects would receive funding, including those of the Clear Lake Environmental Research Center, the Lake County Resource Conservation District with the Tribal EcoRestoration Alliance, the Seigler Springs Community Redevelopment Association, and the Scotts Valley Energy Corp, wholly owned by the Scotts Valley Band of Pomo Indians.
