The Redwood Empire Hazardous Incident Team (REHIT), are conducting their annual hazmat training exercise today at 3200 Taylor Drive in Ukiah. REHIT is the all-hazards hazardous materials response team headed by Mendocino County Environmental Health. Members of the team come from fire departments, CalTrans, and law enforcement agencies. The team can respond to anything from a traffic collision to chlorine gas to a radiological event.
