The deadline given to the owner of the historic Palace Hotel by the City of Ukiah to either submit plans to stabilize or demolish the building is tomorrow. Jitu Ishwar, former president of the Greater Ukiah Chamber of Commerce could face monetary penalties and possible jail time. Ishwar and his attorney, Steve Johnson have been in contact with the city. What the city does if Ishwar fails to meet tomorrow’s hard and fast deadline remains to be seen.
