The company that misprinted ballots for the primary election in Mendocino County has lost its certification, according to the Secretary of State. Integrated Voting Systems, which had been working for the county for 15 years, sent out 52,000 incorrectly printed ballots in February. They then sent out replacement ballots free of charge, with voters receiving ballots based on the wrong district. The errors were not the first for Integrated, and based on that, the company has been fined $1,000 and had its status revoked. The company says its prepared to file suit against the county, saying that although there were errors, they did not violate election law.
