The City of Lakeport has hired a new Chief of Police. After a nationwide search, the decision was made to hire from within the department. City Manager Kevin Ingram chose Captain Dale Stoebe, a long-time member of the Lakeport Police Department. Stoebe will oversee the 13 sworn officers that serve the city. Stoebe succeeds Chief Brad Rasmussen, who retires in September to serve as the new District 4 representative on the Lake County Board of Supervisors.
