A representative of the Mendocino National Forest has signed a decision on the Mendocino Prescribed Fire and Fuels Management Strategy. Forest Supervisor Wade McMaster signed the document in front of a group of local partners, tribal representatives, and community members at the FireScape Mendocino workshop this past Thursday. Forest managers will now be able to use prescribed fire to reduce the build-up of hazardous fuels, up to 20,000 acres a year.
