A standoff with police in Henderson, Nevada late last week ended with a former Mendocino County man being killed. Local police responded to a suicidal man barricaded in an apartment. The man turned out to be 31-year-old martial artist Trevor Cooper. The standoff resulted in Cooper’s death from a possible drug overdose. He was well known by law enforcement for his criminal record in the county but was also well known and liked in the local martial arts community.
