A Willits man was killed over the weekend in a head-on collision on Highway 20 near Upper Lake. A Toyota Corolla lost control in a curve on the highway and crossed into oncoming traffic where it hit a pickup. The driver of the pickup, John Leone, and his passenger, Elizabeth Leone, were transported to Sutter Lakeside Hospital with suspected minor injuries. The as-of-yet unidentified driver of the Toyota died at the scene, along with two dogs in the vehicle.
