A Winter Storm Warning is in effect from this evening through early Sunday morning for elevations above 1000 feet for the Southeastern Mendocino County interior and Southern Lake County. Heavy snow, with 5-9 inches expected in the high passes and 1 to 3 inches as low as the Clearlake level is expected. Winds gusting at 55 mph can be expected on high ridges. Heavy snow and strong winds could down tree limbs and powerlines and could cause power outages. Those in remote areas are advised to be prepared. Driving in the hills could be hazardous.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from this evening through late tomorrow for the Mendocino Coast, including Point Arena, Fort Bragg, and Rockport. Small Hail is expected early tomorrow morning. Roadways may be slippery, driving could be hazardous. Showers are expected at lower elevations through Monday.
