The Lakeport Police Department has announced it will discontinue using the Nixle service as of April 1st. The department is changing the way it puts out emergency alerts, advisories, and community messages. Those who’ve used Nixle from the start of the program will still receive emergency alerts, but the department encourages everyone in the community to register for Everbridge at member.everbridge.net and install the app on their phones.
