A Lakeport man was arrested late last week after attacking and threatening to kill a Lakeport Police at the Shell Gas Station. The officer was making a purchase when Nino Gonzalez charged him. The officer then used his taser on him twice. The officer called for backup and drew his firearm. Additional officers arrived and Gonzalez was taken into custody after a struggle. He remains in the Lake County Jail on charges of obstructing/resisting a police officer, criminal threat, assault on a police officer, threatening a public official, obstructing or resisting a police officer, and possession of a controlled substance.
