The Sulphur Bank Mercury Mine in Clearlake Oaks has been included in the third and final round of more than 1 billion dollars of cleanup projects across the country at over 100 Superfund sites. A request for $30 million for cleanup of the site was made, the actual final allocation of funds has not yet been announced.
