PG&E Reverses Committment to Local Counties During Potter Valley Surrender

PG&E has reversed its position on some of its surrender plan for the Potter Valley powerhouse.  The utility had committed to fulfilling the requests of water managers and stakeholder partners in Mendocino and Sonoma counties which would have allowed water diversions from the Eel River into the Russian River to continue.  However, now PG&E is moving ahead with license surrender for the plant without those terms in place, stating that future diversions would have mean unwanted liabilities for the company.
