A hiker that had gone missing in a remote area southwest of Laytonville around mile marker 8 on Branscomb Road has been found. Laytonville and Westport Fire as well as deputies from the Mendocino County Sheriff’s office searched Wednesday morning after the hiker had not returned on Tuesday night. Searchers worked through Wednesday and the hiker was located shortly before 8 pm Wednesday.
