Grape Harvest in Region, Including Mendocino and Lake Counties At Record Prices

A report on last year’s grape harvest in Mendocino County shows near-record crop values according to data analyzed by Mendocino Winegrowers.  TheUkiahDailyJournal reports strong price and good yield contributed to the record $1,827 per ton price last year. A slow start at the beginning of the season and cooler than usual spring and summer contributed to the high production and quality of last year’s harvest.  Mendocino and Lake counties along with Napa and Sonoma had almost 25% above-average tonnage production last year.
