Boaters operating on Clearlake are advised by the Lake County Water Resources Department to exercise caution, as the recent storms have increased the amount of floating and submerged debris in the water, such as tree branches or floating docks that have broken away from their moorings. The Department along with Lake County Marine Patrol, Department of Public Services, and the cities of Lakeport and Clearlake, are working to remove those hazards, which may take until March to complete.
