December 17th, the Rotary Clubs of Mendocino County, representing Ukiah, Fort Bragg, Mendocino and Willits, presented the local county search and rescue team with specialized rain gear purchased with a collaborative grant with matching funds from Rotary International. Before the specialized rain gear, volunteers all wore their own personal gear, with no uniformity. The Search and Rescue team made presentations to the different clubs this past summer and over the months, the specialized gear was designed and created. The specialized rain gear was a big hit when it was presented to the group during its end of the year dinner. The new gear makes the team easily identifiable and highly visible.
