Even though the Redwood Credit Union had finally gotten a permit to build its new Ukiah branch at the corner of Perkins and Main Street, TheUkiahDailyJournal reports that the RCU has also applied for a permit to move into the vacant Savings Bank of Mendocino County Building on East Perkins Street. Buying the building was the first choice for the RCU, but a deed restriction barred another financial institution from occupying the space. The city planning office has received a complete packet from RCU on the permit request, it is now waiting for a response to points made regarding that packet.
