The Lakeport Fire Protection District will host a reception to honor a longtime board member on his departure. The reception for John Whitehead will begin at 4:30 today at the Lakeport Fire Station at 445 N. Main Street. Whitehead served on the Lakeport Fire Protection District Board of Directors for 29 years. Community members are invited to attend the send-off.
