The Lake County Board of Supervisors at their last meeting approved a contract for a new solar array for the courthouse. TheLakeCountyNews reports the array will help power the courthouse, DA’s office and the courthouse museum. The new solar system will offset almost 60% of facility costs for the complex, saving the county just over $3.2 million over the 25 year life of the system. The array will include three electric vehicle charging stations, which will be ready for use as the county switches to electric vehicles and will be available on a pay per use basis for other EVs.
