The Lake County Board of Supervisors at their meeting on Tuesday directed staff to begin recruiting new leaders for Dept. of Water Resources and Public Works Departments. The decision comes due to current director Scott De Leon’s retirement at the end of June. De Leon has stated that the departments should be separated as finding someone with experience in both areas will be challenging. De Leon also said the Public Works Department’s administrative should be kept as it is, providing clerical and fiscal oversight to both departments.
