Clearlake City Council Holds First Meeting of New Year

The Clearlake City Council held its first meeting of 2024, with new Mayor David Claffey thanking outgoing Mayor Russ Perdock for his very successful service to the city. Most of the meeting approved a series of annual and regular appointments, keeping most of them the same, including the ad-hoc committee to advise on the Burns Valley Sports Complex project, and two connected with the city’s newly formed association with the Elem Indian Colony. The Council also heard a report on a new mixed-income housing project near the senior center which has two-thirds of the unit’s applications approved and that the move-in date of the 20th expects full occupancy.
