Heavy rain predicted to start this afternoon has prompted a flood watch through Thursday for the coast and all parts of the Mendocino interior. 3-6 inches of rain is expected over the next couple of days, making travel difficult and the possibility of flooding as well as rock and landslides along roadways. There is also a Wind advisory for the same area, with gusty winds beginning this evening and continuing through tomorrow. Southeast winds of 25-35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph are expected.
