A Wind Advisory is in effect for the Mendocino Coast and Northwestern Interior from this morning through this afternoon. Southeast winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected. Gusts up to 60 mph over the higher elevations. Power outages are a possibility. There is also a high surf warning in effect for the Mendocino Coast. Breaking waves can sweep people off jetties and docks, and create life-threatening surfing conditions. Mariners are urged to exercise extreme caution or stay in port.
