The Mendocino Transit Authority Board of Directors is scheduled to meet today to hear a presentation on the Ukiah Transit Center. The meeting is part of finding a suitable location for the new Transit Center. The Willits News reports three locations scored highest in a suitability study. The most popular is an empty parcel near Kohls Department store. A parcel on Mason Street and the Savings Bank Building on East Perkins have also been considered. The public is invited to hear the presentation and offer comment. The selection process, final study, and plan are expected to be finished early in 2024.
