Laytonville’s only grocery store has been closed for at least two weeks and doesn’t show any signs of re-opening. According to the MendocinoCountyObserver, Geiger’s Long Valley Market has been closed since at least November 30th. Repeated attempts to contact the store or its management have been met with one response from the CEO, Michael Maciel, who said he wouldn’t comment. The building that houses the market was put up for sale in the Spring.
