A former officer in the Ukiah Police Department has been decertified permanently by the state of California. Former Police Sergeant Kevin Murray, who has been at the center of criminal misconduct proceedings has been stripped of his credentials, as of September 12 of this year according to MendoFever. Murray’s revocation of certification comes a year after he faced seven felony charges including rape and burglary. He took a plea that reduced the charges to one felony and was sentenced to a two-year suspended sentence and two years probation.
