The hearing during which Chamise Cubbison’s attorney was to insist that DA David Eyster recuse himself from the case brought against Cubbison has been postponed due to her sustaining a serious injury to her foot. MendoFever reports a remote conference will be held to reschedule that hearing for sometime in January. In the meantime, Cubbison’s co-defendant, Paula June Kennedy, the county’s former payroll manager, entered a not-guilty plea to a single charge of felony misappropriation of public funds. Both women remain free on their own recognizance.
